Along Konigsallee, or "Ko"-- Dusseldorf's
undisputed shopping headquarters. In the center is an artificial canal,
while on the sides, are Armani, Zegna, Gucci, etc. Pretty, considering
what it is. |
The main bridge (of three or four) connecting Dusseldorf's
downtown to "the other side," called Oberkassel. |

I dig it when the trams run across a little grass

A huge park, partially flooded at the moment, in Oberkassel,
running along the Rhine. |

More of the park, a bit underwater. My proof that
it has, in fact, been raining every day I've been here. |

In swanky Oberkassel, every street looks like this,
only richer and with more trees. So I'm not sure why you're not looking
at one of the even swankier streets. But I wasn't trying very hard. |
The commercial areas are also really nice, with expensive
design shops, nice restaurants, expensive cars everywhere. Oberkassel
wasn't bombed the way eastern Dusseldorf was during WWII, so there's a
lot of luxury housing left. |
