A concert hall designed after a piano
Right by the major shopping area in town, there's a public skate park
Along Konigsallee, or "Ko"-- Dusseldorf's undisputed shopping headquarters. In the center is an artificial canal, while on the sides, are Armani, Zegna, Gucci, etc. Pretty, considering what it is.
The main bridge (of three or four) connecting Dusseldorf's downtown to "the other side," called Oberkassel.
I dig it when the trams run across a little grass carpet.
A huge park, partially flooded at the moment, in Oberkassel, running along the Rhine.
More of the park, a bit underwater. My proof that it has, in fact, been raining every day I've been here.
In swanky Oberkassel, every street looks like this, only richer and with more trees. So I'm not sure why you're not looking at one of the even swankier streets. But I wasn't trying very hard.
The commercial areas are also really nice, with expensive design shops, nice restaurants, expensive cars everywhere. Oberkassel wasn't bombed the way eastern Dusseldorf was during WWII, so there's a lot of luxury housing left.
